I am the seed catalog coordinator for Oak Ridge Public Library and I am in charge of gardening-related programs. My mission is to continue to make our library seed catalog a local and regional resource to promote sustainable gardening, awareness of seed saving and its importance in promoting food sovereignty and developing local adapted seeds. Also, I hope to build educational programming around the seed catalog and a future community garden, as well as connect with and seek advice from local and regional seed producers on which varieties are most suited for our local growing conditions.
